9am this morning is when the fields of the Glastonbury Festival would have been opened to public, were the event taking place this year. I hope the cows are enjoying themselves as much as we would have.
What with moving house and then not having internet access it has taken me a while to get my Glastonbury photos up on the internet, but now they are! Click here to see them!
Not long to go now so watching the weather is becoming increasingly important - that's why we have Glasto Weather Watch!
Mon, Jun. 13th, 2005, 11:06 am CitizenCard
As much as I dislike the idea of an ID card my very own CitizenCard arrived this morning, and it took only two days longer than they said it would (and it only cost me a first class stamp). I think it looks like I've faked it, but at least I'll be able to get into Glastonbury and won't have the worry of taking my driving license or passport with me. Latest Band News: British Sea Power are headlining the Leftfield Tent on Friday night so I'll definitely be catching them over the White Stripes.
The closing act on the Pyramid Stage has been announced, it's Basement Jaxx. Primal Scream are also being added to the bill for the Sunday night.
The Glastonbury line-up has been updated to show the order in which the bands will be appearing for each day and stage. Clicky. Update: According to the SeeTickets.com tracker my ticket was dispatched yesterday! Woo! Update 2: If you're worried about clashs between bands, check the Clash Finder!
Has all this talk about the Sunday headliner got you excited yet? If not then this certainly will!

The Killers are to replace Kylie and headline the vacant Sunday night slot. Does anyone else think that might be too soon? They've only got one album to draw songs from and it was only a year ago that they were playing Fibbers! Update: Michael Eavis has contradicted his daughter Emily, who had announced that the Killers would headline. Speaking at the Ivor Novello award ceremony he has said that he has asked the Killers but it "hasn't quite worked out yet", but that he is "still trying to get the Stone Roses to perform. That's the ideal."
The money for Glastonbury left my account today. Nothing can stop me now! In today's NME they say that two headliners on Saturday night will be Coldplay and Razorlight, that's going to be a tough choice! (I decided to create a Glastonbury icon as I expect I'll be making loads of post about it! Hope you like it!)
T-minus 55 minutes and counting... Update @ 8.55am: Still five minutes to go and already the site is slowing to a crawl. Update @ 9.11am: Had a confirmation screen already but apparently it'll takes up to four hours for an confirmation email with my order number to arrive... not sure I can wait that long! Update @ 10.32am: No sign of a confirmation email yet. I am playing all my most relaxing music in a (failing) attempt to calm myself down. Update @ 1:33pm: The uni marked the confirmation email as spam so it never made it to my inbox. Good job I decided to check my spam account :-) I'm going to Glastonbury! Woo!

Don't forget kids, Glastonbury tickets go on sale at 9am this coming Sunday. Full details of the tickets can be found here. Kylie has already announced that she is headlining Sunday. The White Stripes today announced that they are headline Friday while Coldplay are expected to announce that they are headline Saturday night soon. Interpol, Doves, The Killers, Bloc Party, Keane, Embrace and Brian Wilson are all strongly rumoured to be appearing.
Micheal Eavis has pledged that people will have a better time buying tickets this year. Link. Tickets go sale via www.aloud.com and 0870 165 2005 at 9am on Sunday April 3rd. No lie in for me that day!
Micheal Eavis has confirmed that Kylie will be headlining Sunday night. He also said that New Order and the White Stripes will appear. Apparently Paul Weller will also be making an appearance.
There are rumours circulating that Kylie will be playing Glastonbury. Good job it's such a big place, but I'd still be too close to one of her shows for my liking.
Taken from here. Everyone will need photo id this time. Either that means you take a driving license or a passport to the festival, or you can send them a photo and they will send you an 'entrance card'. I'll certainly be getting an entrance card, nothing would get me to take me passport to the farm! All assuming I get a ticket of course...
Tickets go on sale on Sunday April 3rd. They'll cost £125 - up from last year's £112. This year a photo ID will be required which I guess means driving licence or passport, neither of which I'm too happy about taking. So, who wants to go then?
