Science Museum
I went to the Science Museum's exhibition on the history of computer games. From the very earliest games of Pong where you had to keep your own score, through Space Invaders, Frogger, Tetris, Lemmings and various Playstation, PS2, N64, Gamecube and X-Box 360 games Ellen and I spent an hour and a half in video game heaven. It's definitly worth a trip if you're in the London area.

In addition to the classic games we got to play two games of Tennis on the Wii. It was everything I had hoped it would be, and then some. In an excellent turn of events Ellen, who thus far had just listened politely to my ramblings about how great the Wii would be, was so impressed that she said she would be willing to go halves with me on the console. Score!

Afterwards we followed the Codex trail round the British museum, which was fun if you've been watching the Crystal Maze-like show with Tony Robinson. Come ON then!

Isn't the Wii awesome? A friend of mine has one, and I have to say it's the first console I've been really really really impressed with... Although my shoulders are aching after a bit too much Wii boxing.

Hopefully I'll get to go hunting round the shops for a Wii after Christmas, then I'll be able to say more - but two games of tennis was enough to wet my appetite but definitely not enough to sate it!

OK the Wii must be good lol Sounds like you had fun even if it's a little computer geeky for me. oooh I've been watching the codex. I always find when they do a week I know the history for I'm annoyed with the contestants (EG. the ancient greek one) I'd love to follow the Codex trail though!

Basically it's a game show set in the British Museum hosted by Tony Robinson. A team of 5 go from room to room answering questions about an object or objects there. If they complete the challenge in time two letters of the code are revealed. After most challenges the contestants go head to head and have to answer a question, where the answer is a number. The furthest from the correct answer is left behind as the group moves to the next room. Once there is only one person left the losers have to decode the rest of the code, given the letters they've won. Once their three minutes are up the winner goes into the reading room and has to select a cube from next to one of the five treasures. The solved code is a riddle which they need to solve to work out which cube to take. If they get the right cube then the winner gets a holiday, if they pick the wrong one then they get nothing.

The last episode was broadcast on Sunday.

Oh I missed it then. It sounds good though - let me know if you hear about another series so I can watch it!
Or... Could we get 5 people together to make a team? It can't be that hard to win, surely? I always wanted to go on The Crystal Maze as a kid...
